About me

Hi! I am Finn, a 24-year old film director, activist entrepreneur and speaker based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. In 2025, I graduated in Audiovisual Design at Willem de Kooning Academy and Political Philosophy & Critical Theory at Erasmus University College (a dual degree by RASL). These studies challenged me to engage critically with the world around me and explore the overlap between theory and the arts. I can easily say that it changed my life.

Being confronted with the clusterfuck of deadly crises we, late modern human beings, find ourselves in, was not easy. Yet, I feel grateful for having had the chance to better understand the intricacies and underlying root causes of the mess we’re in. It gave me a deep energy to fight for what is just, and to imagine alternatives to neoliberal, patriarchal, imperial capitalism (I find it important to name things by what they are). That is where the arts come in. Filmmaking in particular has allowed me to deal with all of the emotions I have felt as a ‘critical world citizen’. But especially, filmmaking is a tool to visualize stories that normalize different narratives about who we are, why we are here, and how we relate to the world.

So that is what I aim to do (together with many others!) I make films and I build projects, rooted in my learnings from political philosophy and critical theory.
